I used AI to build myself a two-month operating memory system, read 73 books, analyzed 451 million words of conversation, and found out one thing: the stronger AI, the more valuable I am, the less I am using AI.

It’s a wrap-up after I’ve run out of nuclear weapons.

Three-layer capability model

The real capacity structure has three layers, and its importance has increased in turn. The least important is precisely what everyone is most anxious about.

**First tier: source of information (most important).**How to find quick and good information. Most people stop at this level, obsessed with tools, hoarding, chasing new models. But AI itself is the ultimate source of information. The source of anxiety is thinking about the problems of the past era.

**Second tier: Sedimentation capability (sub-important).**How to turn what we do every day into reusable assets. This layer transforms experience from running water to savings. However, assets do not equal capacity. You have a thousand collections in your notebook, which doesn’t mean you have a thousand perceptions. Assets are expanding, and capacity may not expand.

**Third tier: Primary capability (most important).**After stripping AI, there’s nothing left of the man. The stronger AI, the better the first two floors, the more the third level becomes the only gap. The first two are accelerators, the third is an engine. The accelerator is stronger, the engine is not turned, the car is not moving.

Two layers of primary capability.

Native power is not a thing, is two things.

CognitionExperience, practice, reflection. You can use AI to read 73 books, analyze 451 million words of dialogue, build up a two-month memory system. AI increased cognitive acquisition tenfold. AI can accelerate.

Go back.: A muscular memory through deliberate exercise. You figure out how tomato works takes 10 minutes, but keeping focused in a forced state takes 365 days. AI can’t help you. AI is irreplaceable.

Think clearly about making it happen. There’s a way back.

Option: Subtract is the best solution to math

Backtrack exercises are time-intensive. You can’t practice everything for hours.

So: Subtract. Select the most gifted, self-appropriate abilities and devote all the time to practice. The rest, give it to AI.

It’s not lazy, it’s resource allocation. Your time budget is rigid, spreading it across 10 areas, which is equivalent to 10 areas that have not been trained. A breakthrough is possible by concentrating on one area.

Reducing life is not moral restraint. It’s mathematically the best.

The ultimate scarcity: AI replacement, the rest is emotional.

When AI replaced all functional services, services were no longer “functional services”, but “emotional carriers”. AI can be an emotional vector for some people. But there’s always a need that AI can’t cover, because the value of emotion is not the quality of content, but the fact that it’s one person to another.

ChatGPT just came out and people said novelists were going to lose their jobs. Actually, a novelist won’t be unemployed for another 1,000 years.

It’s not that AI can’t technically write a good novel. It’s AI that is AI itself, which determines that it cannot replace the creator. Readers do not want a perfect text, but “one person spent time creating this, and I caught it”. This connection presupposes that both sides are human beings.

Note: “AI novel” does not mean novels with AI involvement. The use of AI to aid thinking, eulogy and speed does not mean that the work loses its humanity. AI novels are waterline novels: no one spends irreversibly time, no creator’s intentions are inside, only output. It’s not the tools, it’s the water lines.

If you can’t be an emotional carrier, create an emotional vector. Writing novels, drawings, animations, movies, or investing in them. You can’t be good at connecting, but you have to have something that can carry emotions.

Six positions

  1. Don’t replace your original ability to grow. AI is the accelerator, not the engine.
  2. Don’t consider asset expansion as capacity growth. The book is an asset on the bookshelve, and it is the ability that works.
  3. Do not continue to optimize the system when it is adequate. Over-optimization is a trap for spreading thinking.
  4. Don’t wait till you figure it out. Expression itself is a way back, not a perception.
  5. Select the gifted ability to spend all the exercise time. The rest, give it to AI.
  6. The creator will not be unemployed for 1,000 years. Because AI is AI itself, it’s decided it’s irreplaceable.
